North Florida PRSA Chapter Launches Web Site Powered by Tendenci® Software
Joins Numerous PRSA, IABC and AMA Chapters Nationwide Improving Member Benefits Online through Complete Software Solution
HOUSTON, October 20, 2008 – The North Florida Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America has launched its improved Web site, www.nfprsa.org. The new site is powered by Tendenci (www.tendenci.com) online management software, which serves as the software platform for more than 300 organizations around the world, including associations, nonprofits, businesses and healthcare providers.
The North Florida PRSA’s improved online presence includes numerous member-friendly features that will help the public relations community stay connected. The online events calendar makes it easy to promote upcoming chapter activities. With Tendenci, registration and payment is automated with no additional charge to the organization. Likewise, the chapter’s job board makes it easy for it to quickly spread the word about openings and attract qualified candidates.
“We’re constantly looking for ways to provide greater value to PRSA North Florida members and our improved Web site will help by providing the tools they need to keep advancing their careers,” said Kathy Barbour, APR, president of the North Florida PRSA Chapter. “Tendenci is the solution we chose because it is easy to add and update content, which keeps our site fresh and keeps members coming back. Its event registration component was another key factor in our decision. We can easily manage our monthly professional development programs.”
Tendenci offers an array of online tools, including an easy-to-use content management system, a photo album, automated e-newsletter creation, online calendar with event registration and much more. Tendenci also enables site users to interact by posting moderated comments, complete online surveys and subscribe to be alerted to updates through the integrated Really Simple Syndication (RSS).
In addition to the launch of the North Florida PRSA Chapter’s Web site, the Texas Public Relations Association recently refreshed and upgraded its site using Tendenci online management software. Tendenci also powers PRSA chapters in Houston, Memphis, Tenn., and Richmond, Va.
