PULSE Launches Debit Regulations Resource Center
Web-based Center a Hub for Debit-Related Information and Analysis
HOUSTON, Feb. 9, 2012 — To meet the ongoing needs of payments industry professionals, PULSE, one of the nation’s leading debit/ATM networks, today launched a new Debit Regulations Resource Center. The web-based resource center provides information on debit-related legislation, regulations and compliance matters, which are of keen interest to financial institutions, merchants and acquirers.
The microsite is an extension of PULSE’s previous Durbin Amendment Resource Center, which served as a central hub for news and insights regarding debit card legislation. Now that the Federal Reserve Board has developed its final rule implementing the amendment, PULSE has repurposed and redesigned the resource center to expand its focus to help PULSE participants respond to the changing debit market.
“We heard from many of our participants that they valued the convenience and comprehensiveness of this resource for debit-related legislative and regulatory news and information, and we believe that expanding the focus of the site will drive even greater value to our network participants,” said Steve Sievert, PULSE Senior Vice President of Communications and Marketing. “The Debit Regulations Resource Center is one more way for PULSE to provide guidance and insight to our clients.”
The re-launched resource center retains many of the same features designed to keep participants updated on the issues that affect their organizations. Those features include news, information, white papers, on-demand webinars, commentary and expert analysis from PULSE and other industry leaders.
Through the Debit Regulations Resource Center, PULSE will continue to follow debit issues closely and analyze the impact of the changing regulatory environment on the payments industry. The center also will feature best practices and engage independent subject matter experts to share their insights.
