THE ASSOCIATION OF BREWERS NAMES SAINT ARNOLD BREWING FOUNDER TO BOARD
HOUSTON, JUNE 1, 2004 – Saint Arnold Brewing Company’s founder and CEO Brock Wagner has been named to the Board of Directors of the Association of Brewers.
“I am a big believer in the mission of the Association of Brewers, which is to make quality beer and brewing knowledge more accessible,” said Wagner. “This organization is also working hard to make people aware of the great things happening in the American craft beer movement, which has never been stronger.”
Wagner’s route to becoming a respected leader among America’s brewers is anything but typical. A longtime home brewer, he left a prosperous career in investment banking to establish Saint Arnold Brewing, Houston’s first microbrewery. That was 10 years ago. Today, Saint Arnold is the oldest microbrewery in Texas and boasts a collection of award winning beers, including five year-round and five seasonal varieties.
Based in Boulder, Colo., the Association of Brewers (AOB) is a not-for-profit educational and trade association for small and craft brewers. Visit the website: www.beertown.org to learn more. The Association of Brewers has an additional membership division of more than 9,000 homebrewers in the American Homebrewers Association.
Saint Arnold Brewing Company’s ten brews are made and sold by the company's staff of 11 dedicated employees. The brewery is located at 2522 Fairway Park Drive and its free brewery tour and tasting is offered every Saturday at 1:00 P.M.
